On 7 October 2026 we asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity and Grok "Is there an AI visibility tool that works for Middle East businesses?". The tools named most often were Geoplex, Semrush, Peec AI and Otterly.AI, each in 3 of the 5 answers. That is what the AI platforms say today. What a UAE business should check before paying

1. Does it ask as a UAE buyer? The AI platforms can answer differently by place. Ask the tool whether, and how, it sets the country for each question.
2. Does it check Google for your country? Many buyers still use google.ae too. A check of the same questions on Google search, asked as a buyer in your country when your country is set, shows both pictures side by side.
3. Which platforms? Check whether Claude and Grok are included or cost extra. On this list, Otterly.AI charges extra for Claude, LLM Pulse charges extra for Claude and Grok, and Peec AI, Otterly.AI, Scrunch and Profound do not list Grok.
4. Prices and currency. All the tools price in US dollars or euros; none prices in dirhams.
5. Support hours. A reply "within 24 hours" from a team in another time zone can mean two working days in Dubai. Check where the team is.
6. Arabic. Only one tool on this list says it probes in more than one language, and none publishes Arabic results. If your buyers ask in Arabic, ask the vendor for a sample.

What the AI platforms said about the UAE

In the same scan we asked 30 questions about the UAE and the Gulf: tools, agencies, clinics, real estate, law firms, hotels, schools, car rental. Three findings:

• On "Who tracks how AI chatbots talk about my brand in the UAE?", the platforms named Otterly.AI in 3 answers, and Profound, Sight AI, Brand24 and Ahrefs Brand Radar in 2 each. On "What is the best AI visibility tool for agencies in the UAE?", Profound and Peec AI in 4 of 5 answers.
• The pages the platforms cited for UAE questions were UAE pages: Gulf News, Zawya, MENAFN and Khaleej Times, and .ae websites, which were cited 202 times on the 30 UAE questions. For the Middle East tools question they cited SourceForge and Slashdot.
• On "Which sources does ChatGPT use for recommendations in Dubai?", no platform named a tool at all. The answer was a list of pages, not products.

So a UAE business is judged by the AI platforms on UAE pages. The tool you pick should show you which ones.

The tools, compared for the UAE

Geoplex, which the platforms named in 3 of the 5 answers on the Middle East question, could not be read on 9 October 2026 (its site did not load for our check), so it has no row. Presenc AI's product page was read on 9 October 2026. Company locations come from each tool's own pages, with the date read; "not stated" means the page does not say.

Who each tool suits, in the UAE

AthenaHQ suits a business that wants to start free and later pay $295 for 11 models.

What named.ae does not do
